Operation Jingle Bells: Donate a gift to a child in need

Operation Jingle Bells is an annual campaign led by LSU Action, supporting charities in the lead-up to Christmas.

Four people dressed as elves and one as santa, standing behind a pile of toys alongside the text 'Operation Jingle Bells, help us help children this Christmas'.

This year, 91²Ö¿â Students’ Union are once again supporting three charities: Toys on the Table, Charnwood Toy Appeal and Life Beacon, which all help to support children around the Christmas period.

Staff and students are encouraged to donate a present to a child who otherwise would not receive one this Christmas.

You can donate anytime from now until Friday, 12 December by:

  • Placing an unwrapped gift into the sleigh located in the Students’ Union Building
  • Purchasing a gift from the Operation Jingle Bells’
  • Donating to the  (LSU will then buy a gift on your behalf and add it into Santa’s sleigh)

If you would like to purchase a gift for Santa’s sleigh, we would suggest spending between £5 and £15 on your gift. There’s no age limit on toys or gifts, but this year we’d like to collect more gifts for 8 to 16-year-olds. Please make sure your gift is new and in its original packaging, and if your gift requires batteries, please provide these too.
